Today…I will smile, even if it doesn’t come naturally. I’ll look past the trouble and annoyances and find reason to smile.
A cheerful heart brings a smile to your face; a sad heart makes it hard to get through the day. Proverbs 15:13 MSG
Today…I will pay attention to those around me. Family, friends, someone I happen to see once…I’ll notice and see them. And I’ll share kindness.
Today…I will find the positives in my life…the good in the midst of the trials. And I’ll give thanks.
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Romans 8:28 NLT
Today…I will give myself grace. I’ll remind myself that rest is necessary. I’ll take a break and stop pushing myself to perfection.
Today…I will make a conscious effort to trust God and not worry. I’ll stop worry by giving it to Him…and I will find peace.
You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Isaiah 26:3 NLT
Today…I will look for the sunshine despite the rain. I’ll extend grace…give thanks…and trust and praise the Lord.
Today…I will smile.

This is just perfect. Thanks for reminding me that there is reason to smile today.
What an encouraging list of what needs to be done – and, yes, today, I will make smile, too!
Beautiful reminder! Today I will just smile, look for blessings and give thanks! What a God honoring thing to do! Blessings!
You’ve wrapped profound and compelling truth in these simple statements, Laura. It’s inspiring and I am taking your nudge to do that next right thing to heart! Thanks also to Deb for this linkup. It’s my first time here and I, too, live in the St. Louis area (Edwardsville, IL). It’s nice to meet a “neighbor!” 🙂
