The Sun Will Rise Again

SunRise

I have been praying and asking the Lord what He would have me to share with you today. I believe I am suppose to share this piece of art which I did a couple of weeks ago. When I was painting it, I heard simply, “The sun will rise again.” I was sensing His overwhelming peace at the time, resting in His promises of hope and healing, as I reflected on His love towards me.

Tonight He gave me these words for you. I pray they might encourage you on your life’s journey.

The Sun Will Rise Again
by Barbie Swihart

Beloved One,
I know not the ache in your heart.
I know not the hope you are reaching for.
But this I do know…..

When the ache feels like it will overtake you,
When you think you might die from the sheer weight of it,
He is there, and the sun will rise again.

When the hope you are reaching for appears too far,
When you feel as if you’ve fallen out of trust and are believing lies,
He is there, and the sun will rise again.

When the darkness in front of you appears as a barrier,
When you can’t remember when you last saw the light,
He is there, and the sun will rise again.

When you fear to trust due to overwhelming disappointment,
When you’re too tired to brave the rain or face the wind,
He is there, and the sun will rise again.

When you long for healing to mend your brokenness,
When you lift your weary eyes and cry out for help,
He is there, and the sun will rise again.

The sun will rise again,
You needn’t worry, nor must you fret,
The sun will rise again.

It won’t be long now,
just a moment longer.
The sun will rise again.

Look up! Look up! Keep your eyes fixed on Him.
Keep pressing forward even when you cannot see.
The sun will rise again.

He is like the light of morning at sunrise on a cloudless morning, like the brightness after rain that brings grass from the earth. (2 Samuel 23:40

May you rest in the Father’s love for you, and may you be assured that the sun will rise again.

Barbie – I was pleasantly surprised to find you here this morning. Beautiful post in both words & graphic. The painting is beautiful! I read every word & by the last word, my heart was filled with the truth that “His mercies are new EVERY morning.” So grateful He causes the sun to rise again. Blessings!

Oh what beautiful words of encouragement and light. The sun always rises, that is for sure, but sometimes we need the encouragement to hang on until morning’s light dawns. Thank you for this.
