Getting Ready For The Wedding

Yesterday I set off for a 6 hour drive south with a friend to my old home town. I was going back for an engagement party and then flying home today. I got to catch up with a lot of friends at the party and many of them asked me “So, what are you down for?”. “THIS!” I replied, “And I’ll see you again at the wedding.” They thought I must have had something more important on my agenda than to come all that way just for an engagement.

Jesus was misunderstood in his reason for coming down to earth. The Jews thought God must be planning something very spectacular like overtaking the Romans and that Jesus would become king by force. But Jesus came for an engagement – a betrothal. Through his death on the cross, he paid the bride-price for us to be with Him for eternity, and he is coming back for the wedding!

Jesus tells a story recorded in Matthew 25:1-10 about 10 girls who were waiting for the bridegroom. Five of them were wise and took extra oil with them to keep their lamps burning but five were not ready, ran out of oil, and missed the celebration.

Some people alive today are going to miss the celebration when Jesus comes back. They think that Jesus came just to show us how to be good, or came just to heal the sick, or came as a prophet, but they are missing something thats going to leave them outside when he comes back for the wedding feast.

Jesus said “I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:9-10

Jesus is the only way to experience real joy here on earth and eternity in Heaven. Jesus came for THIS – to change the lives that we are living here and now by walking daily in a relationship with Him! But not only this – He is coming back!

Are you ready for the wedding?

It doesn’t take much to realize that soon and very soon we are going to see the King! Yes, I am ready! So thankful for that good news and that He has given us grace and strength to occupy until then. Thank you, Donna.

    Maranatha!

Why does the revival tarry? It is because God’s
people tarry to obey the powerful command of
the Lord in Rev. 18:4. This is the most powerful
revival message of the Lord to his people in our time.

As in the days of Lot, it is now. Lot was not interested
to leave Sodom. God sent two angels to rescue him,
and they must persuade him to leave Sodom. When
he yet lingered, one of the angels said to him:
“Flee for your life sake …”
Just like as Lot, God’s people are not interested to
leave the great Babylon, but finally they must flee
    for their life from there.

God’s people are destroyed for lack of knowledge
because their preachers have rejected knowledge.
Hosea 4:6-11. Instead to preaching the truth of the
Assembly of God, they have preached lies about the
Assembly of God. The Pentecostalists have abused
the expression “Assembly of God” and used it as a
    name of their church.

The coming revival, a nameless revival
