That Kind Of Dad

Some of us may have a great relationship with our dad, and because of this, Father’s Day last week was probably a happy day. But some of us may not have this kind of relationship at all, and maybe Father’s Day was difficult.

Yet, no matter how you get along with your dad, you’ll always have a solid relationship with God.

And what kind of Father is He?…

He loves you.

“I have loved you with an everlasting love.” Jeremiah 31:3

He wants the best for you.

“For I know the plans I have for you…plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

He cares about what you’re going through.

“Cast all your cares on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

He’s trustworthy.

“Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord, is the Rock eternal.” Isaiah 26:4

He protects.

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper.” Isaiah 54:17

And he wants to help you.

“He gives power to those who are tired and worn out; he offers strength to the weak.” Isaiah 40:29

So regardless of whether you are close with your dad or not, you can always count on God as your Heavenly Father. And that’s a relationship you can celebrate every day.

Thank you Genny…I agree with you that there are some who may have difficult Father’s Day because of their earthly fathers but PRAISE GOD the FATHER of all! I am so thankful that I know HIM but it is days like Father’s Day that makes be ache for those who do not
know OUR GOD, OUR LORD JESUS and the filling of HIS HOLY SPIRIT! I grieve for those who have been abused, neglected, abandoned, sold, and have not yet been told that THERE IS A FATHER like the ONE you have pointed us towards…the ONE who cares,
protects, helps, provides, sustains…because HE is so faithful, trustworthy, loving and ALL ENCOMPASSING…ALL POWERFUL…OMNIPOTENT…with all good plans & purposes as HE HOLDS us in HIS PALM or IN HIS ARMS or ON HIS LAP! God bless you!
