Finding Peace

How do you feel today?

Refreshed, encouraged and inspired?

Tired, depressed, worried or stressed?

Often as a mom we find ourselves somewhere in between, but it never ceases to amaze me that no matter how I’m feeling each day, God loves me and can meet me right where I am.

There have been days where I have found myself “down in the dumps” and didn’t even think to take my cares or problems to Him, choosing instead (albeit subconsciously) to spend an entire day just living in that measly depressed state.

Then there are the times that I do remember to give it to God and in that moment, even in the darkness, I find peace and my day gets remarkably better!

Yes, I still have bad days, and frustrating situations come my way often, but when I remember to take everything to God it makes all the difference in the world.

The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. – Psalms 18:2 (NIV)

Here’s that same verse in the New Living Translation ….

The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior;
my God is my rock, in whom I find protection.
He is my shield, the power that saves me,
and my place of safety. (Psalm 18:2 – NLT)

I pray that you will be blessed today and take even your smallest cares before the God who loves you enough to have given his life for YOU!

    Funny–my answer to your question would have differed throughout the day depending on when you asked! But you’re right, when I come back to remembering (or being aware) that He’s my Rock and always righttherewithme, it can turn some of those darker moments around.

    Thank you for this post. 😀 God is good. And He works in ways we don’t understand.

    Sadly I probably feel more often somewhere on that anxious scale. I need to remember to give my troubles to God.

    I thank God for you Ms. Shera, your honesty is refreshing and I appreciate that you are not so super spiritual to be REAL,
