November is a month of thankfulness.
All over social media, we see people expressing gratitude for things in their lives. In early November the posts read along the lines of,
“I’m thankful for a warm house, clean clothes, and food on the table.”
As the month goes on, I’ve noticed an interesting trend: the focus narrows. A 30-day gratefulness challenge causes participants to look beyond the obvious and find the more obscure gifts in life.
A random kindness.
A good night’s sleep.
A warm cup of tea.
An attitude of gratitude benefits us in many ways. First and foremost, a grateful mindset honors the Lord.

Wisdom waits. In my twenties, expressions of gratitude were measured by feelings of satisfaction with my life and goals.

Do you live your life in a constant state of go-go-go?
Hurrying from here, to get to there??
Hurrying from this task, to take on a new task?
I’ll admit it-I’m guilty!
I’m a multitasking person & I love having a variety of things on my plate; keeps things lively & interesting for me!
However, with every blessing comes great responsibility and while I enjoy “lively & interesting”, it’s important for me to realize that I have a little one tagging along, desperately trying to keep up. What kind of example am I setting, if I am constantly living in the fast lane & forcing him to run, just to keep up with my fast paced walk?
