It’s like that isn’t it? We fail to feel loved when we don’t feel loveable.
The wonderful news is that God’s love does not depend on our mood or how lovable we feel. It doesn’t depend on what we do or say. His love never fails. We were reminded this past weekend of God’s love for us as we celebrated Jesus’ death and resurrection. Let’s also take a moment to read some reminders of God’s love from the Bible . . . so sit back, grab your cup of coffee or tea, and let God’s perfect love surround you like a warm hug.
For He loves us with unfailing love; the LORD’s faithfulness endures forever. Praise the LORD! Psalm 117:2
The faithful love of the Lord never ends, His mercies never cease. Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning. Lamentations 3:22-23
For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken,” says the LORD, who has mercy on you. Isaiah 54:10
But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, He gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) Ephesians 2:4-5
Let your unfailing love surround us, LORD, for our hope is in You alone. Psalm 33:22
God showed how much He loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through Him. This is real love—not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. 1 John 4:9-10
Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life… Psalm 23:6a
Now it’s time to praise God for the fact that His unfailing love does not depend on how we feel.
Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you! Psalm 63:3
